Meet the Founders at MIRACOURT
DR DANIEL MASUD
Co-founder & Co-CEO
Consultant General Adult & Addictions Psychiatrist
Dr. Daniel Masud co-founded Miracourt to extend the reach of clinically rigorous and person-centred mental healthcare. As a Consultant Psychiatrist, he brings over a decade of experience supporting adults facing a broad spectrum of mental wellbeing and mental health challenges. Dr. Masud is motivated by a conviction that effective treatment begins with genuine understanding of the individual, their story, and the context in which their difficulties arise.
Central to his approach is relationship. Dr. Masud believes that a therapeutic alliance, grounded in trust and empathy, is the cornerstone of lasting change. His work reflects a balance of scientific precision and humane insight, integrating psychiatric expertise with a deep respect for the lived experience of each client. Whether addressing complex diagnostic questions or facilitating recovery from long-standing emotional and behavioural difficulties, he remains attuned to the whole person, not just the condition.
Dr. Masud trained in Nottingham and has since held senior clinical and leadership roles across both the NHS and private sector, specialising in General Adult and Addiction Psychiatry. His experience spans outpatient, inpatient, and specialist service settings, giving him a nuanced understanding of how to coordinate care across different levels of need. He holds an endorsement in Addiction Psychiatry and has developed particular expertise in treatment-resistant depression, addictions, and adult ADHD.
Throughout his career, Dr. Masud has worked extensively in bespoke and highly specialised mental health services, shaping his ability to design programmes that are fully responsive to the unique needs of each individual. This background directly informs his work at Miracourt, where he is dedicated to providing comprehensive, person-centred care for adults with complex presentations.
As founder and clinical lead at Miracourt, Dr. Masud draws on his broad clinical insight and experience of high-acuity, personalised treatment models to ensure clients receive exceptional continuity, attention, and wrap-around support. His practice is rooted in a commitment to safe, effective, and ethically driven care. These are core values that underpin Miracourt’s approach to helping clients and families navigate even the most challenging mental health journeys.
Dr. Masud’s clinical philosophy resonates with Miracourt’s central ethos: that sustainable psychological change arises from collaboration, depth of understanding, and the courage to meet human complexity with curiosity and care. His practice embodies a psychiatry that is both rigorous and relational, helping clients move towards recovery with clarity, compassion, and hope.

TOPES CALLAND
Co-founder & Co-CEO
Highly Specialist Therapist & Coach
Topes co-founded Miracourt in order to fill the need for clinically rigorous coaching and case management services. Having worked internationally as a coach for over a decade, Topes considered his psychotherapy training indispensable in this regard. Relationship is the foundation of a coach’s work with clients. Our clients have invariably developed dynamics in their relationships with themselves and others that are unhelpful. It takes skill and thorough training to identify and modify these entrenched patterns. As our clinical coaches work intensively with clients in a real-world setting, they have a privileged and powerful role in facilitating change.
Topes holds a double degree in Modern History & French Literature from the University of Oxford. He subsequently completed his clinical training at the University of Cambridge, graduating as a psychodynamic psychotherapist with a specialism in child, adolescent and young adult development. Topes pursued further training in adult and group psychotherapy, obtaining associate membership of the Institute of Group Analysis.
He has worked in the field of emotional and behavioural health for almost twenty years, chiefly in the United States and Europe. He has gained an international reputation for his pioneering approach to intensive outpatient strategy, helping clients to build robust recovery ecosystems. Topes is resolutely client-led, attuning and responding to the needs and hopes of the client. This empathic approach was forged through many years living alongside his clients during immersive community-based interventions, experiencing with them the joys and the difficulties in their lives.
He has consulted for leading psychological and medical facilities globally, maintaining strong relationships with these resources. He held the role of Director of Aftercare at a cutting-edge Swiss psychiatric facility, which specialised in delivering gold-standard treatment to its international clientele. However, beyond the clinical domain, Topes also holds an expanded concept of the therapeutic frame. He has had much success in helping clients with their vocational goals, particularly in the area of art and design. To this end, he conducted research at the University of Cambridge into the potential for embedding therapeutic processes within the national arts curriculum. He is currently researching methods to optimise the effectiveness of nature-based clinical interventions.
